The Devil's Cradle tended to get a lot of secondhand books and magazines, and a certain regular contributor to Uncanny and the like had been the subject of some discussion among those who enjoyed that genre.
So Caleb had an inkling of how problematic the man was, but Arden's radio broadcast had him morbidly curious.
